Vespar Guest Texts

Texts you ask for.
Your choice, every time.

Vespar Guest Texts is an optional program operated by Vespar, LLC for participating restaurants, including Paper Plane. Vespar operates assigned phone numbers for the restaurants, and each message names the restaurant handling your enquiry or booking. This guide explains how consent works wherever guest texting is enabled. Reading this page does not enroll you or send a text.

Your choices are covered by our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.

Choose the texts you need

Ask the restaurant’s host for one menu link, table-booking link, or private-event checkout link. A menu or event checkout link can carry forward the details and menu choices saved during your conversation so you can review them. The link is private to your enquiry; keep it to yourself and anyone you want to help with your plans.

Booking confirmations and reminders require a separate choice for that booking. Agreeing to a menu link does not subscribe you to reminders or messages from other restaurants. This program does not include marketing. You can book or make a purchase without agreeing to texts.

One link request means one requested text. For booking updates, message frequency depends on your booking and the restaurant’s reminder settings, and may include an opt-in confirmation, booking confirmation, and reminders. Message and data rates may apply. Text availability and delivery depend on the restaurant’s setup and your mobile carrier.

When you ask in chat

Give the host your mobile number and say which text you want. The host shows a consent notice naming the restaurant, your number, and the purpose. Read it, then reply YES in that same chat if you agree. We check that your written reply follows the current notice before sending the requested text or recording permission for booking updates. Sharing a phone number by itself is not consent.

Example: one menu link

May Paper Plane text menu link to +12025550123? This is one requested text. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. This does not include marketing. Reply YES to agree.

Your reply: YES

Illustrative notice with a fictional phone number. Your host uses the number and purpose you supply.

When you ask on the phone

Tell the host your mobile number and the text you want. The host reads the consent notice and gives you an eight-character request code. To agree in writing, send a text from that mobile number to the restaurant number you called: YES followed by your code, such as YES A1B2C3D4. Use the code the host gives you, not this example.

We do not send an initial text asking you to opt in. A spoken yes and caller ID do not authorize a text. The written reply must match your pending request and phone number. A request expires after 15 minutes; ask the host for a new one if needed.

Stop texts or get help

Reply STOP to the number that texted you to unsubscribe from that restaurant’s texts. You may receive an opt-out confirmation, and a text already in delivery may still arrive. This does not cancel a booking. If you later want texts again, send START to that number, then give fresh permission for the specific request. Earlier booking subscriptions do not restart automatically.

Reply HELP for help, email info@vespar.ai, or use our contact form. For a booking change or cancellation, contact the restaurant directly.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
